SEOM Interactive was proud to partner with TheBathOutlet.com on Thursday, October 22, 2015 to host the first-ever BucksMont BizCon!

The all-day conference was held at The Fuge in Warminster, PA and featured a variety of interactive presentations and a panel discussion by leading industry experts and successful entrepreneurs on some of the major aspects of running a small/medium business. The presentations focused on different marketing topics such as SEO, PPC, traditional advertising, branding, email marketing, social media and public relations. View the presentations here. In attendance were many owners and employees of local Bucks and Montgomery County small and medium businesses as well as some local students.

The day capped off with a ‘Shark-Tank’ themed competition in which four start-up businesses presented a live pitch to three judges for a chance to win $5000. Mark Kennedy, SEOM’s owner and President, was one of the judges and had a great time listening to the pitches and deciding on a winner! The participants were:

    • Katie Robbins from Taste of Tuscany, a pasta sauce creator
    • Emily and Lyla Allen, The Kitchen Twins, 11-year-old healthy food bloggers and Kale Chip Kit creators
    • Mark Donohue from Spor, a solar battery charger inventor
  • Paul Santolla from Trivia Note, an educational app developer

After hearing the four pitches, the judges deliberated and chose Katie Robbins from the Taste of Tuscany to be the winner of the $5000. The three runner-ups did not leave empty-handed. The judges felt that all of the live-pitches were worthy of a runner up prize of $1000 each.

Overall, it was a fun, informative and educational day and we are already starting our plans for next year! Like us on Facebook to see pictures and articles about the event and to stay updated about BMBC2016!
